Geography

LAND

Around the middle of the Tertiary Age (Miocene period), this outlying part in the valley of the Ebro, got dried; and sandy, argillo-calcareous lands settled here and made up the composition of the soil.

The Ebro river and its tributaries have eroded the sandstones and shaped the area, leaving the mark of deep cliffs and hills that determine its particular landscape covered with vineyards.

Its geographic location, climate and the composition of the soil make this area well known for the richness and quality of its wines.
